The smart four-year-old by Redoute’s Choice is a leading feature contender this autumn and Mathew de Kock commented: “He has a big win in him, we’re not sure whether to go for the Gr2 Hawaii Stakes next weekend or to save him for the Gr2 Sprint at the end of March.”
Either way, Mathew said, Rafeef is doing very well and a decision will be made soon.
Rafeef, who races for Sheikh Hamdan, has won four of seven starts and was narrowly beaten in the Listed Wolf Power Handicap two weeks ago.
