ONE Of A Kind has a “one-of-a-kind” pedigree, bred from superstar Dynasty and superstar Ilha Da Vitoria, but she’s also a rare very small filly. The three-year-old filly won her Maiden at the Vaal on Thursday, rallying gamely for replacement rider Ryan Munger, who picked up a chance ride.

Ilha Da Vitoria was small, we know, but this one’s tiny – she weighs only 340kg and Mathew de Kock said: “One Of A Kind has a great pedigree and her mother’s heart, but she’s a midget, she’s so small!”

She has limited racetrack potential due to her size, but One Of A Kind is capable of winning again considering her fighters’ attitude. And, of course, in the Wilgerbosdrift broodmare paddock she will always be worth her 340kg in gold!
