BAROOT (yellow silks), was beaten just a head in a Handicap over 1800m on turf at Meydan last Saturday, turning in another game performance.

Baroot (Pat Cosgrave) was bumped at the start, moved up to lead, kicked on well but was caught late by Godolphin’s Classic Connection under Harry Bentley.

Baroot has enjoyed racing on turf after a spell on dirt and can atone in a similar handicap soon.
