IT’s not always easy to get up for exercise in the morning, even in the middle of summer, and Diane de Kock had to coax unraced two-year-old Peitro Masigni out of his stable at Randjesfontein this morning when he wished to extend his nap.
He’s very well-bred, this one, a colt by Silvano from Jodie (Western Winter) – and a half-brother to Stanley Ferreira’s three-year-old filly La Roquette, who made a smashing winning debut at the Vaal recently and is considered a filly with feature potential.
“Peitro Masigni belongs to Sheikh Hamdan. He is in-pre-training and working well,” said Diane.
