MATHEW de Kock was “short and sweet” when asked about the stable’s big runners on Grand Heritage Day at the Vaal on Saturday, commenting:
“Moofeed is really doing well, best he’s ever done. However, it’s hard at the weights to have confidence but he will go close. A Quartet horse. The same applies to Persian Rug although this type of race will suit. She won’t disgrace herself.
Moofeed, should run well despite big weight.
“Three-year-old Bold Rex is a nice horse. He’s probably better over further and I think this will be a tough race for him.
“Of our other runners I think South Atlantic in Race 5 has to be included. Although this is not her ideal distance I believe she has a few pounds in hand and is better than her rating.”
