CHAMPION filly Majmu was withdrawn from Saturday’s Gr1 Woolavington Stakes at Greyville due to an elevated temperature.

Majmu will still be the main contributor to 2015 Durban July Fever.

Mike de Kock commented on Saturday: “Majmu showed no physical discomfort, but she had a spiked temperature on Friday and analysis of her blood confirmed that she may have been incubating something, so we couldn’t take any chances.”

There won’t be a serious interruption of her work programme leading to the Durban July and Mike said: “She’ll be out for a day or two, this is just a little fever we weren’t sure about, she was acually just about fine this morning.”
