Espinoza won his third KY Derby aboard American Pharoah for trainer Bob Baffert. He also teamed up with Baffert to win on War Emblem in 2002 and last year rode US Horse Of The Tear California Chrome to a famous victory for trainer Art Sherman.

Espinoza (42) has ridden more than 3200 career winners.
