THE condition of the track at Ascot has changed to good (from soft in some places), on the straight course on Monday following a dry night at Ascot. Going on the round course is expected to follow suit on Tuesday.
Conditions are forecast to remain dry for much of Royal Ascot, with only a hint of showers on the radar for Thursday, reports Racing Post.
Chris Stickels, clerk of the course, said on Monday morning: “The straight course has drained a little bit quicker than the round course. I would think the round course would change tomorrow.
“The longer the dry weather stays with us the more the track will drain and dry out. If the forecast is correct we should have some really nice ground and the track looks excellent.”
