KAVANAGH will be racing at Ascot on Saturday afternoon. Mary Slack’s gelding has been accepted for the Gr 3 John Guest Bengough Stakes over 1200m and Pat Cosgrave has the ride.
Kavanagh has been mildly disappointing in two sprints at Newmarket and Haydock respectively after a rest, but he’s a horse with plenty of ability and he’s doing well.
“We’re hoping for an improved run, he’s fit and well,” said assistant trainer Steven Jell.
