DAVID Livingston moved into contention and tried hard in Sunday’s Gr Bosphorus Cup over 2400m in Turkey, but he was outpaced in a driving finish and beaten just out of the placings into fifth – under two lengths behind Godolphin’s Lost In The Moment.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained runner came from last under a well- judged Mickael Barzalona ride in the field, that boasted a strong international contingent representing three nations lined up alongside local contenders.

In Saturday’s  Gr1 Betfred Sprint  at Haydock, Kavanagh was beaten nine lengths by Gordon Lord Byron, never getting into a challenging position.
