MAGROORA (5-2), ran on well to open her account in a Maiden Juvenile Plate for fillies over 1400m at Turffontein on Tuesday evening.
Australian-bred Magroora, ridden by Raymond Danielson, won by 1.25-lenghts from Lite and Brite, who tried hard but was beaten for class.
Assistant trainer Mathew de Kock was impressed, saying: “She just needed her 1000m debut and enjoyed the extra tonight. The fillies by Dubawi come into their own over more ground and this one is no exception. She has more to come, she looks decent.”
Magroora is another promising prospect for Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.
