THE R600,000 Emerald Cup and two other feature races not run at the Vaal last Saturday, when a thunderstorm ended proceedings prematurely, have been added to the programme of races for the Vaal Sand race meeting this Thursday 27 September.
Consequently, Thursday’s meeting now comprises 11 races instead of the eight races originally carded and race numbers and starting times have been revised to maximise the addition of the three feature events.
TAB will now operate two Jackpots on the meeting – the first on Races 5 to 8 and the second on Races 8 to 11.
The Emerald Cup, Africa’s richest race on sand, has been carded as Race 7 and the two reserve runners, Caryl’s Law and Kiss Again, have been reinstated.
Horseplayers must note that the racing publications and form guides originally distributed for Thursday’s race meeting are now incorrect in terms of the total number of races, the sequence of races and starting times.
The updated details of the meeting will be published in Racing Express in The Citizen on Wednesday 26 September and on www.tabonline.co.za
They will also be available in TABs and on Tellytrack (channel 232 DStv).
A Computaform UPDATE and Computaform Express SPECIAL UPDATE EDITION have been printed and will be available at TABS and retail outlets from Wednesday.
Anybody who has purchased a Computaform or Computaform Express for the meeting can exchange it free of charge for a Computaform UPDATE or Computaform Express SPECIAL UPDATE EDITION.
There is also a free electronic copy (pdf format) of the Computaform UPDATE at www.tabonline.co,.za
