Hi Mike and the team ,
Can you please shed some light on Berry Blaze. She hasn’t made the july field as yet and I noticed she isn’t in the gold challenge or the cup trail. I really fancy her chances for the july considering the weight she will come in with.
Thanks for your professional attitude and transparency.
kind regards
nikesh
Berry Blaze has recovered from minor injury. She is back in training, being prepared for the Garden Province Stakes.
Hi Mike , I have been a huge fan since your introduction as a trainer to racing. Horses like skating north and the filly pop em down paid more than bucks on the tote! I have always had a soft spot for Barrellen. I still remember Rene Bonham riding the horse at the Vaal after a year long”s absence. At 20-1 I put my 50 bucks and my friend was not convinced a horse could come from a yearls rest with a trainer uknown and win. After seeing my ticet he backed it as well and we were standing in the payout cue at the 1000m mark.I backed Barrellen in the july and the little pony Teal undid us.I was present when Golden Hoard ran second and you were really upset in the “winner”s enclosure” after the race.Sir you have brought a new perspective to racing and every non racing friends I knew backed horse chestnut for the Met. I am so glad for you and the team to have come a long way and achieved so much. I have watched Mike De Kock on the terraces of greyville bringing the roof down by shouting a maiden winner home. The passion is still there, may it remains forever or else non racing and racing enthuaists will have nothing to talk about. Warm Regards Feedha
