RIVER Jetez drew post position Number 9 for the Group 1 Singapore Cup to be run over 2000m at Kranji on Sunday.

While 9 of 13 might not be ideal, assistant trainer Trevor Brown was not too concerned.

“You take what you get, and take your own chances. It’s not the best draw, but it’s not the worst either – it could have been 13. It will also depend whether there is a strong gallop. It is now up to the jockey (Bernard Fayd’Herbe).”

Fayd’Herbe told mikedekockracing.com: “She’ll be fine, she can handle that draw.”

Interestingly Lizard’s Desire was also drawn at 9 when he won the SIA Cup for the stable last year.
