THE grey Gang Related, on a photo taken with models Lee Anne Liebenberg and Vanessa Carreira in November 2004, on the eve of the Summer Cup.  A son of Jallad, he finished second under Kevin Shea, beaten 4.25 lengths by champion Tyson.

Gang Related won seven races for Mike de Kock’s  stable, including the Java Handicap and the Drum Star Handicap. He was owned by the Livanos family, and Costa Livanos has another Summer Cup runner this year in smart filly Flirtation, who has always been highly regarded by the stable and has a good outside chance in the 2010 line-up.
