Joined August 2010 – Star Empire:

Four-year-old gelding Star Empire has joined the stable. Formerly trained by Denis Drier, Star Empire has won four of 11 starts and R299,870 in stakes. His successes so far include a gutsy win over Galileo’s Galaxy in the Listed Darley Arabian Stakes over 1900m.

Star Empire has been purchased for racing in Dubai in 2011 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum. 

Mike comments: “Denis Drier is a good judge. His one previous recommendation was Lucky Find, who win for Sheikh Ahmed in Dubai and in the UK.  I watched Star Empire winning the Darley Arabian and I agree with Denis, this one looks a nice prospect for the Carnival. Our thanks to the Drier stable.”
