CHARL Pretorius, who co-authored Horse Chestnut: The Story Of A Legend, with Mike de Kock, has launched his first solo effort, The Ten Habits Of Highly Effective Horseplayers, aimed at punting addicts across the board.

The 10 Habits of Highly Effective Horseplayers is a terrific read and it tells you, in straightforward, no-nonsense fashion, how to bet on the horses and win.  Brimming with information, insights and inside-talk, this is a compulsive page-turner. It deserves to be read by every punter who ever flipped open a form guide, or thrilled to the sound of a thoroughbred pounding the sparkling green turf.
