CYCAD, ridden by Jeff Lloyd, romped home in Saturday’s Listed R120 000 Aquanaut Handicap at Turffontein on Saturday, 5 March.

The powerful bay gelding by Fort Wood is getting better as he matures, and he packed too much class and stamina for Zambomba and Riviersonderend in this competitive handicap.

Cycad is owned by Alick Costa and Bernard Kantor. He has won six of 18 career starts and almost R270 000 in stakes. Cycad was bred by Gavin Schafer and his full-sister, Dollar Magic, is currently in pre-training at our Randjesfontein stables.

Cycad wins under Lloyd.
