Three-year-old Mambo Come Tesio has been a pleasure in the stable this year, delivering exactly what Mike de Kock expected him to.
He’s an out-and-out stayer, won his Maiden over 1600m and has since won over 2400m and again in a handicap over 2600m at Turffontein Sunday, backed to favourite by the public who are starting to like this game stayer who gives of his best.

Mike said: “He had a light weight on Sunday and of course that helped him, but he enjoys his racing and wins well. He is still racing off a competitive merit rating so if we can place him right, he will win again.”
Mike thanked owner/breeder Winston Chow, saying: “We’ve trained a few nice ones for Winston, including The Apache in the latter part of his career and The Centenary who, like Mambo Come Tesio, was a true marathon type.”
