The farm’s NYS draft will include a Var half-brother to G2 Al Rashidiya winner Forries Waltz, who has won five of seven starts to date.
Catalogued as lot 141, the colt’s dam is a half-sister to the stakes winning dam of Dubai based G1 Cape Guineas winner Noah From Goa –who, like the colt on sale, is by a Storm Cat line stallion.
This colt, who has been named Forries At Five, is a direct descendant of the great mare Gladness and hails from the same family as 2013 G1 Caulfield Cup winner Fawkner, who earned more than AUS$3.7 million during his racing career.
Outstanding sire Dynasty, whose daughters include this season’s G1 Cape Fillies Guineas winner Just Sensual and G2 Gauteng Fillies Guineas winner Smiling Blue Eyes, is the sire of lot 1 in the draft, a filly by the name of Cupid’s Dart. She is a half-sister to 6 winners, including G3 filly Be Mine Tonight. Bred on the same Sadler’s Wells/Gone West cross as the likes of English classic winners Motivator, her dam is a half-sister to G3 winning 2yo and Investec Oaks third Midnight Line. This is the family of the Sadler’s Wells line G1 winners Imperial Beauty, Jan Vermeer and Together.
A P Indy’s champion and millionaire son Marchfield is sire of lot 108 –a bay filly named Fairlawn. Closely inbred to the great mare Lassie Dear, she is a half-sister to stakes placed filly Silvan Spirit and from the same family as G1 winning fillies Covenant (dam of promising 2yo Varallo), Lady Brompton and champion Promisefrommyheart.
Runner up in the G1 Travers Stakes and out of a sister to A P Indy, Mambo In Seattle is the sire of Mambo Lyric, a bay filly catalogued as lot 154. She is out of a winning own sister to G3 winning filly Hell’s Angel and hails from the same family as champion sprinter Mythical Flight.
Marchfield, whose relatives include leading sires Home Guard, Peaceable Kingdom, Harlan’s Holiday and Boldnesian, is also sire of lot 155, a bay colt named What Else. Inbred to the great sire Mr Prospector, he is out of a stakes placed half-sister to G1 GommaGomma Challenge winner Pick Six.
Leading sire Dynasty, whose daughters also include the champions Beach Beauty and Bela-Bela, is sire of 406, a bay filly named Forge Ahead. She is a half-sister to 2 winners, and is out of a half-sister to four stakes horses –including Equus Champion Long Dollar. The family of Equus Champion Filly Toccata. Bred on the same cross as Fillies Guineas winner Alexis.
Champion sire Trippi, sire of G1 winning fillies R Heat Lightning, Real Princess and For The Lads, is the sire of Hero’s Daughter, a bay filly catalogued as lot 460. She is out of a stakes winning daughter of Hector Protector (also damsire of multiple G1 winner Chinchon).
This is the same family as last year’s classic St Leger winner Harbour Law and top class sire Inchinor.
