JOCKEY Sherman Brown eased his mount Enaad (AUS), down near the line after a fluent win in a MR86 Handicap over 2400m at the Vaal on Thursday.
Mike de Kock believes four-year-old Enaad is going to win more races and he said: “He is beautifully bred by High Chapparal from a mare by Danehill and we’ve always expected this kind of run from him, but he’s taken his time to come to hand.
“When Enaad finished downfield over this course and distance back in December 2014 he was distressed after the race. We put him in the paddock for a few months and this did him the world of good, he matured skeletally, grew into his frame and he’s better for it.
“Enaad had two good prep runs over shorter before Thursday’s race so we fancied him a bit. I like him, I think we’ll see more from him now.”
Enaad races for Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum’s Al Adiyat (SA).
