MIKE de Kock, Markus and Ingrid Jooste own Perfumed Lady, who made a fluentwinning debut in a Maiden Plate over 1000m at Turffontein on Sunday.
Originally acquired by a syndicate at the 2014 CTS Premier Yearling Sale, she was resold at the CTS Ready To Run Sale.
After an opening call of 6-1, Perfumed Lady was backed to the exclusion of her rivals, touching 15-20 at the off. Randall Simons brought her home by 1.75-lengths in a time of 58.19s and she has more improvement to come with racing.
Highlands-bred Perfumed Lady is a three-year-old bay filly by Captain Al from the National Assembly mare, Scented Samantha, herself a four-time winning sprinter from the family of champion fillies Scented Royal and Philipa Johnson and the dam of international Graded winner Sweet Sanette and local Graded winner, Franny.
