The Trade Development levy was originally introduced soon after the formation of the SA Horse Import & Export Council in 2002 to assist with the funding of various iniatives related to the export business including the funding of the work of the SA trade Council.
The objectives of the proposed increase are:
To increase the marketing budget for international promotion.
To grow foreign investment.
To support appropriate export related projects as determined by the Trade Council Board.
