A new-look Computaform goes on sale this weekend and it’s set to be a winner.
Computaform, long South Africa’s premier horseracing form guide, has been revamped from beginning to end and owners, trainers and punters who have seen it and, in some cases, advised on different elements during its transformation, all say it’s fabulous.
There’s much to like! The publication has a brand-new look and feel – modern, brighter, better-quality paper and, most importantly, more information presented in an easier-to-read format.
Obviously, it will take users time to become familiar with the new format, but there’s a comprehensive “How To Read” display that should get everybody up to speed in quick time.
It’s common cause that Computaform loses a significant amount of money annually and these losses will increase as a result of the better paper now being used.
Unavoidably, the cover price has been increased to R30 in order to offset some of these losses. For the record, the increase is the first for some time, this in spite of increased staff and printing costs during the timeframe since the last increase.
And, in order to reduce printing costs, Fotoform will no longer be published in the printed version of Computaform. Many users have indicated they no longer use Fotoform, principally because all the information in Fotoform is in the form lines anyway.
For those who still require Fotoform, it is now available online for a nominal fee of R250 annually at www.tabonline.co.za
The first Computaform in the new format is for the night race meeting at Greyville this Friday 19 December.
