IGUGU galloped on the training track at Randjesfontein on Tuesday and turned in a good performance after her short rest.
Plans are on target for the 2012 J&B Met to be contested at Kenilworth on 28 January and Mike said on Tuesday: “Igugu galloped well and we had her scoped her afterwards. She scoped clear and there are no problems.”
Igugu had to be withdrawn from last week’s Gr 1 TBA Paddock Stakes after she’d developed a respiratory infection and mucus was found in her trachea.
She was treated with a course of antibiotics.
Igugu is favourite for the J&B Met, generally trading around 2-1.

Mr De Kock,if any horse passes the post before her in the J and B Met ill be very surprised.Im a hard core fan of the flying filly,im expecting her to lead from the 500 metre mark and go on to a 3 length victory.Mypersonal opinion-“NO RACE” even if on Monday she gets a bad draw,CLASS WILL PREVAIL
I Agree Shaun… i simply cannot see Igugu getting beat…all the other horses are just making up the numbers…..Igugu should be in Dubai running against the best and instead she is stuck in SA to run with the rest
ALL DUE RESPECTS TO MR.DE KOCK , I AM A FIRM ANTON MARCUS FAN (ANTON IS GOING TO HAVE A FANTASTIC DAY ON J & B MET DAY BACK HIM IN ALL RACES)
IGUGU WILL RUN 4th IN THE J & B MET
I have never seen such a beautiful animal like Igugu or Pocket Power. I would love just to meet Mr De Kock and Anthony Delpech, as well as the stars of the show. I all the best for the J & B Met, and my money is on you guys.
