The seven-year-old mare has been in the care of assistant trainer Steven Jell and Mike de Kock commented on Thursday: “She’s being prepared for the Group 1 Beverly D in Chicago on 13 August and this is her preparation run. She’s had a nice break and she’ll come on for the run today, she’s fresh and well.”
Pat Cosgrave will be holding River Jetez’s reins today and the race is off at 4pm, SA time.
Mike said that Bold Silvano, injured in Dubai during the Carnival in March, was on the comeback trail. “He’s recovered well and things are looking promising.”
Other jetsetting fillies Mahbooba and Raihana are in training at Newmarket and are likely to be seen in action during the course of the English flat racing season.
Mike will be leaving for the UK in the next few days.

Congrats again on Igugu’s July…and great to hear Bold Silvano is on the recovery. I just wanted to see, is there any word on how Irish Flame is doing or where he may be aimed?
