SHEIKH Hamdan of Dubai’s Jet Legend was a 0.75-length winner under Kevin Shea in a MR77 Handicap over 1450m at Turffontein on Saturday. The three-year-old son of Jet Master didn’t beat much, but this was his second win in three starts and his first run after a rest.
Mike said: “He’s a scopy type, he is a horse that could be good enough to contest the classics and we’ll see how he goes from here. He won a good race, had things in control.”
Mike was happy too, with the performances of Zirconeum, Chiccetti and Rudra.
“Zirconeum ran very well considering this was her first outing since the Dubai Carnival in March, and Checcitti was 6kg out at the weights, her run too was commendable, she’s smart. Rudra keeps improving into the Summer Cup, he is on target!”
