THREE runners from Mike de Kock’s Newmarket yard will contest races in the UK this weekend. Diana’s Choice, racing at York, will be first up in the Cuisine De France Summer Stakes (Group 3), for Fillies and Mares over 1000m, worth the equivalent of about R750 000.
Diana’s Choice, in the hands of jockey Pat Cosgrave, will be off at 15:45 (SA time), and is the second-highest rated horse in the field next to Karl Burke’s Lesson in Humility.

The Darley July Cup is next, worth in the region of R5 million, and JJ The Jet Plane (Kevin Shea) again takes on a power-packed field including Scenic Blast, Takeover Target and Art Connoisseur. The race is off at 16:10.
Imbongi has been accepted to race in the totesport Ascot Summer Mile (R1,4 million) on Saturday, a race De Kock won with Archipenko last year. The race is off at 15:50 and Shea has the ride.
