FORT Wood colt Zanzamar is a good looker and he has ability to go with it. The two-year-old won a Maiden Juvenike Plate over 1400m at Turffontein on Sunday, 4 April, racing away unextended to win by 5.25 lengths in the hands of Anton Marcus and Mike de Kock said: “Zanzamar has a good amount of pace which is encouraging because he is bred for further and this shows his class. We have a high regard for him and we’re hoping he can confirm his quality in stronger company.”
Zanzamar was the stable’ second winner from as many runners for Sheikh Hamdan of Dubai.
