Proud of Soqrat!

“WE are very proud of Soqrat,” said  Mike de Kock after Sheikh Hamdan’s three-year-old had finished a close second to Do It Again in the much talked about Gr1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate at Kenilworth Saturday.

“Soqrat ran a fantastic race against the best older horses in the land and came close to winning it. We have no excuses, well done to the winning connections.”

Mike said that Soqrat will be returning to Johannesburg and that he will be prepared next for the SA Classic on Classic Day at Turffontein in March.

The photo, taken near the line in the Queen’s Plate, shows Soqrat (far side) still with his nose in front and a flying Do It Again drawing closer.
