Mauritzfontein at NYS

OVER the years, a large number of top class horses have been purchased from the Mauritzfontein draft at National Sales, with this number including such current or recent high class performers as multiple graded stakes winner Celtic Sea, top class 3yo Barahin, and the Vodacom Durban July winning champion Marinaresco.

Mauritzfontein will be offering another high class draft at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale in April, with the farm’s lots including the offspring of such outstanding stallions as Captain Al, Silvano, Gimmethegreenlight, Querari Var, What A Winter, and Mauritzfontein’s own high class sire Ideal World.

There be plenty of attention on Ficksburg (Lot 55) when he walks into the ring –a colt by top class sire Querari, this colt is not only a half-brother to classy filly Blossom, but he is out of Mauritzfontein’s Equus Champion and Triple Tiara winner Cherry On The Top.
