Onamission’s Sainte Etienne

SAINTE Etienne (photos below) is the latest fully subscribed member of Mathew de Kock’s Onamission Syndicate, boasting two wins from three runs courtesy of Puget Sound.

Sainte Etienne was bought for R225,000 at the National Yearling Sale in May. He is a beautiful first foal by Elusive Fort from Sprig Daisy, by Silvano, bred by Maine Chance Farms. There is super quality all the way through his damline – too many big names to mention but including Janoobi, Sweet Sanette, Phillipa Johnson and Chekilli.

Mathew said at the weekend:  “We’ve been breaking Saint Etienne in since he arrived from the sale. He’s going to the track for some light trotting now with my mom and her team and he’s doing everything right.”

Sainte Etienne, like the Onamission’s first buy Puget Sound, includes shareholders from as far as Hong Kong, Dubai and England.
